Apache Junction, Avondale, Buckeye, Carefree, Cave Creek, Gilbert, Glendale, Mesa, Phoenix, Pinal County, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Sun City, Surprise, Coolidge, El Mirage
Should be 5' above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: either 5' W.I. fence, or self closing & latching doors with windows that (latch at 54" above floor or have mesh screens).

Casa Grande, Maricopa County
Should be 5' tall. Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: None.

Chandler
Should be 6' above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: either 5' W.I. fence, or self closing & latching doors with windows that (latch at 54" above floor or have mesh screens).

Fountain Hills, Peoria
Should be 5' above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, spring at 36" above grade and latch must be 50" above grade. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: either 5' W.I. fence, or door alarm with windows that (latch at 54" above floor or have mesh screens).

Goodyear
Should be 5' above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade and 6" below top of gate. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: either 5' W.I. fence, or self closing & latching doors with windows that (latch at 54" above floor or have screwed in place mesh screens), or motorized cover (only if child is under 6 years of age).

Litchfield Park, Paradise Valley
Should be 4'-6" above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: either 5' W.I. fence, or self closing & latching doors with windows that (latch at 54" above floor or have mesh screens) only if child is under the age of 7.

Tempe
Should be 5' above grade measured from outside of barrier (non climbable fence). Exterior and or wrought iron gates should be self closing and latching, must open out of pool area, and latch must be 54" above grade, or a lock in good working condition. Secondary barrier choices and requirements: None.
